Weekend in Minot

Now that we are so close to home we decided there's no time like the present and packed up and headed to Minot for the long Memorial Day weekend. We really didn't have to pack anything up since we hadn't unpacked from the move so that was convenient.

Grandma Vickie had a bunch of new toys for Gus to explore and play with. This was his favorite little chair. None of us could figure out what it did but all of us plunking around with the buttons on his chair was amusement enough for Gus. He loved it!

We were so excited to put him in this walker. I was SURE he would take off and go sprinting across the living room floor but no, he had no clue he even had the option to move. He was more interested in the butterfly who was attached to the hood of his new ride.

Relaxing with Grandma Vickie.

We had a great morning and lunch at Great Grandma Betty and Great Grandpa Marv's house.

He had some good grins for both Grandpa and Grandma and showed them all his tricks (sitting up, rolling over, the basics). I think they were impressed. Hi-5, Grandpa Marv!

After lunch we zipped over to the Demars household to see Tadd, Jody, and the girls, Violet and Olivia. Those girls are adorable their hair-do's are always awesome! Gus loved watching them in action. He borrowed their Steelers bib and managed to cover it completely with squash. Luckily, I think they've removed a stain or 2 in this household in the past 2 years so hopefully the bib is OK.

All we did while we were home was eat! Gus did, too. After a full day of treats and lunches, we went to Great Grandma Ethel's house for dinner. He loved Grandma's feeding methods and was grinning and chatting the whole time. Pretty daring of us to go bib-less, huh?

Then finally, dinner again (the next day) at Grandma Vickie and Grandpa Dave's house. Here's Gus chatting up Uncle Kyle and Jess after our delicious meal.

He was into Uncle Kyle, big time.

We also got to see Aunt Patty, Cousins Holly & Lucas, Uncle Todd, Aunt LeRae, Cousin Leslie, and many more friends. The trip always goes so quickly so thank you for stopping by, everyone! You are invited to Fargo and can stay whenever you want.
