Freedom

Gus is slowly figuring out that he can get where and what he wants by rolling and scooting. Ah, freedom! He can sit up, roll around and do whatever he wants in his crib when he is supposed to be sleeping.

Yesterday we set him in his crib for a nap but as soon as he laid down, he all of the sudden, miraculously, wasn't tired anymore. We waited about 10 minutes, then cracked open the door and busted him in the middle of perfecting a new trick. Not sure where he was going with this trick but notice the nice traction he gets with his toes in between the rungs and the mattress. He can really scoot when he has something to push against. The gate is up from now on when he's in the crib.

He gets up on all fours then gets excited and flops back down on his belly. No crawling yet.

This is his 6-month bday picture, just in time for his 7th month birthday. OK, so we still have a couple weeks before he is 7 months old but I'm cutting it close. I need to make more time for the camera and the blog!

FYI - the lack of comments does not mean I'm not viewing the pics and loving them. Cute as always!

Sorry for the slow down in posting. We're still getting settled in.

So far it is great! The best part of living here is the lack of wasted time. I get to spend at least an extra hour with Allison and Gus everyday. Eventually we'll get our routine down and get more pictures on the blog.
