The Big B-Day

Today was the big 1 for Gus. He said he felt older this morning when he woke up. Here's the highlights from the last 2 days.

Gus's first b-day party. Clockwise: Gus, Avary, Josh, Ross, Kole and Mya.

We played color on the table, Josh got into it.

Opening presents with his Aunt Christy.

His new homemade piggy bank from Josh and Christy. It's an aquarium.

Blocks from the Skunbergs.

The farm-yard/barn-yard toy from Uncle Mike and Aunt Steph. Thank you for sending this surprise to Gus. He likes to shove all the animals into the silo.

Pizza time.

Yum.

Alright, here's the traditional cake eating photos.

That was delicious.

Gus's friends are pure entertainment.

Thank you, everyone, for being so kind and bringing or sending gifts, greetings and cards to Gus! He received so many cool things, none of which Ross or I would have ever discovered on our own. We appreciate everyone's thoughtfulness. Thank you!

Fast forward 1 day to tonight. He got his favorite meal, spaghetti. He ate an entire bowl.

So there you have it! 12 months old as of today.

Speaking of 12, here's his 12 week shot.

12 days.....
And 1 year ago, exactly.

Also, we cannot forget about another amazing details from 1 year ago today - the wedding of Josh & Christy! Congratulations. 1 year down, many more to go.

Its been so fun to watch Gus grow from a teeny baby to a toddler this year. When the work day is dreary or frustrating I like to check out the blog. It puts a smile on my face every time. It is always a ray of sunshine to see the life of a happy kid and his excellent parents. Looking forward to seeing you 3 over Thanksgiving.

Love, Meg
