Weekend in Minot

We went to Minot to cheer for the Berthold Bombers at the State Class B Basketball Tournament. The day before we left, Gus got sick and couldn't shake it all weekend. It made for a tough weekend for the poor guy, but there were moments where the Tylenol kicked in and he forgot all about his aching chest, throat, and running nose.

I was also happy to be home on the very day of Minot High School's prom. I snuck up to my cousin, Maren's house, to see her in all of her beautifulness before she was whisked away by her date.

On the final night of the tournament, we decided to bring Gus to the dome for the 3rd place game. He didn't last long, but did watch a few plays before we called his Grandpa Steve to pick him up.

30 minutes later, he was much happier outside, on his way to the car and back to his Grandma and Grandpa's house for the evening.

Much better, playing race-car tracks in peace and quiet.

Berthold, by the way, did an awesome job. They played their hearts out and received 2nd place. What a season, Alex and Grant (Ross' cousins). Nice job!!

Is Gus wearing a purple and gold wristband? That's awesome! It looks like he never took it off. Also looks like he's ready to take something apart.

Yes, those are his beloved wristbands. He has 4 sets and most days has 1 or 2 on. He recently got a new purple set which was perfect for cheering on the Berthold bball team.

We make him take them off before a bath.

Also, nice intuition on the taking things apart prediction. He would give Bjorn a run for his money.

It nice to see that Stan's old racecar track set is still getting some use! I played with that thing when I was a young kid at the farm.
