Gus attended a Pre-Halloween trick-or-treating event at NDSU with his friend, Henry. Henry's mom, Sara, works at NDSU so she has the inside scoop and invited us to come with. It was great! Super Kristie was with, too, and spent most of her time carrying one or another of the little guys, who aren't so little. Sorry if your arms are sore!
Gus is the UPS man and Henry is a monkey.
Comparing treat totals.
When he got home, he dumped out the pumpkin and took inventory with his dad.
His favorite treat of all time are suckers.

Buds
The Johnson family stopped and stayed on their way up to GF. The boys play together great. I wouldn't say they are super interested in each other, but enjoy the overall madness they create when they all run around like crazy-men.
Waffles for breakfast are a must.
Gus and Ashton worked on their art skills.
Each kid did their own thing but always had to be in the same room with the other boys.
Gus was played-out and delirious because he wore an 8 on his head while watching TV and got annoyed if you tried to take it off.
We had a blast with the Johnsons. Come anytime!

C is for cookie
I realize I may be the only one to find this video so funny that it's hard to stop laughing. Mainly, I'm laughing at Gus because after he gets his initial groove on, he shows signs of a motivational speaker or football coach or something when he tries to pump us up by saying "go guys, go!".
Oh, we were pumped.
Then again about halfway through I crack up even more because he's clearly annoyed that I was recording the laptop screen and not him. As I pan back all I saw was this crazy stare into the camera like, ' do that again and we are shutting this thing off mom'.
OK, I will stop the commentary now. Thanks for watching, then reading my review of this video. Kids crack me up!

Drawing and shopping
Gus enjoyed the weekend with his Gma and Gpa Debi & Steve. Art projects were on the agenda as well as shopping from the Fleet Farm Toy Wonderland catalog with his Gpa. It doesn't seem like he can be old enough to leaf through a catalog, picking out his favorites, but he must be. He was really into it.
His Toy Wonderland Wish List, in order:
1. Mickey Hot Dog Dancer
2. Ping pong table
3. Ping pong paddle

You play with your fam, that's what you do
What do you do while in Minot for a weekend? Yep, play with the family, all kinds of them. Here's Sofie visiting us at Gma & Gpa Vickie and Dave's. She brought a sucker for Gus which was very kind.
They loved watching Patty operate the Sesame Street characters toy.
They played so well together it kinda scared me. They took turns riding the horse and never once got crabby with each other.
And while they were at it, they continued to impress us by sitting down for a nice little piano duet.
Recital #2 was at Gma and Gpa Debi & Steve's with Laura and Lindsey.
He enjoyed watching Mickey Mouse online with Gpa Steve.
And finished up the weekend by picking apples. Who needs a day trip to a full-blown orchard if you have an apple tree, with super low to the ground branches, in your back yard?
