4 days, 3 families, 1 townhouse

We kept our end-of-summer tradition alive and met up with the Goin family and Johnson family again this year for another Labor Day weekend extravaganza.  This time we tried Arrowwood resort in Alexandria.  We decided to really bond by all staying in one townhouse.  It was totally the right decision.  It was great!  Great friends, great food, great times.

Of course we brought too many carbs.

The possibilities for kid's activities at this place were endless.  Rain or shine, this place does not disappoint.  There are activity rooms with tons of toys and games (above), or a playground, pools (3 of 'em), a crazy huge water park, mini golf, a lake/beach, boats, bikes, balls, food, campfires, treats, hills to roll down, a full golf course (for the dads), and a full-fledged winery within 5 mins (for the moms).  Who cannot love this place.

Oh, and throw in 3 iPads and these kids were beyond happy.

Did I mention the built-in chess table?  Probably not because I don't know how to play.  But don't worry, Jaime taught the girls to play.

So the kids weren't exactly feeling the group pic.  That's OK, this works.
 Ashton 4, Gabby 3, Gus 4, Carson 6, and Nora 2.

We can't wait for next year!  Anyone who doesn't have plans over Labor Day, please join us.  I'll book the townhouses.
