Within 5 short minutes, he became obsessed with the sport. He loves it. As a matter of fact, we stopped by their house again on Monday evening and he absolutely had to play pong.
Anyone have an old ping pong table for sale?

Here's us enjoying the beach. For the record, Gus would have loved running and playing in the sand.
Thank you to Chad who was an awesome host.
Skunny scared the children, as usual. Swamp-thing or Loch Ness, not sure.
When he got close enough, Gabby pounced. Really pounced.
OK, take 2. On the way out the door, we tried again (as I explained earlier, apparently it is Michelle and I's motherly mission to get them to hug).
And so we failed. But the photo below is priceless. It is a perfect illustration of how the night ended up after all our efforts to get that huggin pic. Gabby - still full of love, Gus - calling for a ride outta there.

He was Skyping with Grandma and Grandpa while playing with his stickers, and in the middle of the conversation, got an awesome idea.
I had to full screen them because it was so hilarious, plus it gave Gus more screen real estate to work with.
After the garage party, we went to his daycare class' party at the Zoo. The carousel was fun.
Here's Gus with his favorite teacher, Ashley. They call them teachers, I know it seems hard to believe he has a teacher when he's only 20 months old, but it's the term they use so we stick with it.
Sarah and Ashley are just 2 of 6 teachers in his class. It's a big classroom.
It was fun to watch the kids interact outside of daycare. They ran around like maniacs, rode the carousel, fed the ducks, and played with each other as if to say, "nice, all my friends are here, this is awesome."

OK, I know what you're thinking, who dresses this kid?! I must admit, after seeing this photo, I won't put him in this outfit again. But in his defense, I think he was comfortable.
Because he was up so late on Friday night, he fell asleep right away when we hit the road for a stroll on Saturday. We just propped him up and let him sleep.
Ice cream treats were a highlight of his weekend.
Sorry for the blurriness of this shot. I think I need a new camera.

Mini-Ross.
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
We almost had to introduce Gus to floss because of this corn cob.
He recently began making funny faces on command.
We only let him play in the fire the day after so there were no hot coals.
I only caught him once.

It was an awesome weekend, we just wish it would have been warmer. It seems the cold temps are the topic of many conversations these days in this region. Oh, and we could use the rain, too.
