...that's all we have to say.

He wasn't even crying (yet). This is his I'm-getting-tired face.

Tummy time with Grandpa
Playing
Gus is really starting to get into his toys. Ross decided the best way to relate to Gus' excitement over his playmat was to get right in there and check it out from his point of view. Thank goodness Ross didn't get as excited as Gus does because the last thing we need is a 6'7" grown man's arms and legs flailing about.

Baptism
Gus was baptized Sunday, January 20th at Mount Olivet Church in Victoria, MN. Victoria is about 5 minutes away from our house in Chaska.
He LOVED being baptized and would do it again if he could. He was all smiles the whole time!
Thank you to everyone who was there. We are so thankful to have such wonderful family and friends who support everything we do. You folks are truly dedicated - it was 13 below and that didn't scare any of you away. Thank you.
No tears from this kid. He was hoping he could hop in after he got his hair washed (just like at home).
Grandma Vickie made his handsome tux. It fit just perfectly on Sunday but probably wouldn't fit him now. He is a growing baby.
His godparents, Uncle Chad and Aunt Stephanie. Steph just got back from a 3 week trip to India on Tuesday the 15th so we were surprised and delighted that she could be here! The last time she had seen Gus was the day he was born.

Great-Grandma Ethel
Cousin Lindsey (who was busy writing a report the whole time for a school project. She took 3 pages worth of notes on just the baptism itself!)
Cousin Laura
Grandma Debi cutting the cake.
The kid's table. One of these kids is doing his own thing.
Again - thank you to everyone who came all this way for Gus' baptism! It was a very fun weekend.

New nap buddy, sitting up, and bath time
This is Gus' new nap buddy, Towers the giraffe.
Now that he is 8.5 weeks, he likes to sit up. This creates some massive amounts of drool for some reason.
He likes sitting up even more when it includes talking with his Dad.
This kid takes his baths seriously. We've only gotten him to smile once while in the tub. We tried again tonight but he was all business - relaxing is important.
"I will not smile."
And he even argues when it is time to get out. It's pretty cute.

8 weeks
Since football season is nearly over it's a good idea to savor these final Sundays and just relax.
Last week we were lucky to have Lindy (dear friend of Al's since grade school) and her adorable son Gabe stop by for a visit on their way up from Iowa to northern MN. Gabe - we just found your Cheerios, you forgot them! They are kind of stale now so we threw them away.

Doctor Appointment
Gus had his doctor appointment yesterday. They did all the measurements on him again.
Trivia time! He scored in the 40th percentile on one measurement, in the 50th percentile on one measurement, and in the 90th percentile in one measurement. Which one was which?

Answers to be posted tomorrow. Guesses are welcome.

Thank you all for the nice comments on the recent posts. We're pretty proud of the little guy and you can't know how happy we are to know that people are interested in Gus enough to check out our little blog from time to time.
