Gus's hockey season is over, but he still plays hockey in the driveway almost everyday with his buddy, Caleb.
Another way he gets his fix is by cheering on our local semi-pro team, the Fargo Force. Gus and Caleb are 2 of the biggest fans in the area.
Go Force!

Things that are hard to believe
Here are a couple things that are hard to believe, but both are true.
1. The outfits that Nora picks out on her own. To wear in public. She cracks us up every day.
2. We are shoveling snow in April. Here's Nora and her BFF, Peyton shoveling and eating some snow. These photos were taken on April 21, 2013. Go Fargo!

Dress-Up Week
It's that time of year again....Dress-Up Week at school! I want a week like that at work.
Monday: They stayed home with me to catch up after I was gone all weekend in Vegas. That's OK because it was Western Day and we would have had nothing to wear.
Tuesday: Hawaiian Day. They had ice cream sundaes as a treat.
Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday, of course. (Note: for Nora, this was a normal day.)
Thursday: PJ Day

Spring Break 2013
I was lucky enough to sneak away from the ND snow and cold the middle of April to meet a few long-time girlfriends in Vegas for the weekend. It was like a very mini high school reunion.
Here's a group shot - Holly (Mpls), Sara (Los Angeles), Anne (Rapid City), Tara (Mpls), Me (Fargo), and Jaime in the front row (Mpls). It was wonderful to catch up with such good friends.
Meanwhile, in Fargo, Gus made a hockey butterfly for the family wall at preschool.
Nora was Nora.
She even started up the washer on her own - and added soap.
Ross deserves a trip. I owe him, big time!

It runs in the family
For as long as I can remember, the men on the Vangsness side of my family have always had a moustache. Like, before they were even trendy. I call them trend-setters!
So I guess you can say it runs in our family.
I hope Nora doesn't actually get a moustache, but for now, it's cute.
One final thought on the 'stache: I've never seen my dad or uncles without one. That's something!

Kind of a big girl
Nora finally ditched the crib and upgraded to a big girl bed. We decided it's much easier to crawl into bed with a crying toddler at 2am and fall back asleep in a full-sized bed, rather than a twin. We learned that the hard way with Gus.
Nora loves it!
Before
After
She sleeps like a champ and has only fallen out once.

A White Easter
We spent Easter weekend in Minot. The kids colored eggs with Grandma Vickie, and Nora even tried drinking the vinegar mixture. She was not impressed (you can see it in her face).
Happy Snowy Easter!
They both found their baskets bright and early at Grandma Vickie and Grandpa Dave's house. |
We also found the Easter Bunny at Grandma Debi and Grandpa Steve's house, but he was frozen by that time. Nothing like a White Easter! |
Will, Christy, and Josh were home, too. Here is Great-Gma Ethel with a few of her grandkids. |
Happy Snowy Easter!
