The weekend went so fast that I didn't even have time to update the blog on Sunday evening. Here's a quick rundown of all the activity, in order as noted in the blog title.
Jaime and the boys (minus Paul who is busy working his tail off at home in Mpls) arrived on Friday night. It was great to have them in town. We had fun.
Ashton eating and Gus pretending like he's in big trouble or something for sitting under the high chair.
Gus and Carson. Carson will be 3 next week. He's ready for his b-day party.
Ashton is the best baby I've ever met. He never cries and just giggles all the live long day.
Brothers.
I have no clue why I am revealing my house for all the see....but I had to. This is funny stuff. Not only do we not have our furniture yet, we have no shelves or cubbies to store stuff away in. So here's what our place looked like after 3 little boys finally went to sleep on Friday night.
There is a little gem of a spot here in Fargo called Rhealt Farm. They have a fall festival which of course included a pumpkin patch. It is so cliche to take your kid's picture in the pumpkin patch but I had to do it. I couldn't leave there without a couple shots of Gus playing amongst the pumpkins.
Yummy.
Not sure what he was thinking here but it is a funny face.
Ross, Gus & Jaime. Ashton was in the stroller and Carson was going bonkers in the playground.
I wish Gus wasn't so shy in front of the camera.
Hooray! Cousins Laura and Holly came to town for a visit and spaghetti dinner on Saturday night. We loved it! You should visit more often.
And finally, the unhealthy portion of this post. Yuuck.

Weekend adventures
I spent the weekend back in Mpls celebrating the impending arrival of Michelle and Mike's little baby girl. Her shower was on Saturday and was wonderful. It was a mini reunion of sorts. Of course I missed Ross and Gus but I have to admit it was nice to have a full day and half with the gals.
This cake was tasty.
Grandma and Grandpa Dave & Vickie came and stayed the weekend. Gus went full speed the whole time. He loved it.
Chad drove up for the weekend, too!
Family resemblance, for sure. It's like she's holding a mini-Ross.
After his uncle and grandparents left, Gus was depressed. We let him play with non-toys which he loves. He really got into the salad spinner.
Next up item that he usually can't play with: the fridge.
See why? Dangerous!
The lid was sealed, he has yet to get a taste of Franks's Hot Sauce, thankfully.

The latest
Gus is 10 months old! That's all I have time to write. Here's some pics:
Eating a plum vveerrryyyy slowly. He takes small bites.
Studying a map of the US of A.
Yes, good job. Gus. That IS Texas where your aunt Nancy and Uncle Leo live. Don't mess with it.
Josh and Christy got a sharp looking new Equinox. I looked up the word equinox because I wanted to verify that it had something to do with seasons changing, etc. Isn't that what it means, I thought? Uh, no. Here's the def:
n.
I like just calling it Chevy Equinox, that makes more sense to me.
Speaking of cars, he loves his car mobile. He will even strain to see it if they are moving.
Ah, cute. Twins. (This was an accident.)
Gus had a picnic but we didn't have any food prepared. They are kids so they had no problem serving and eating pretend food.
Mya, Kole, Ali, and Gus.
Ali is very smiley and extremely sweet.

Family galore
This weekend we celebrated my Grandma Ethel's 80th birthday, here in Fargo. This is the fastest a weekend has ever gone, I'm fairly certain. Steve, Debi and Grandma Ethel arrived on Wednesday evening, Steph and Mike arrived on Thursday afternoon, and Josh and Christy live down the street.
They watched Gus on Thursday afternoon and all day Friday. He will be bummed on Monday when he has to go to actual daycare again.
All the other family members came tricking in on Friday afternoon and evening.
Pictures in the park:
Swimming was our priority. Gus loves it although he looks quite upset in this photo. Maybe he thought Ross was going to swim away.
Lindsey, Josh, Christy, Steve, Laura and Brett enjoying the Holiday Inn's pirate swimming cove. You can't see the pirate ship from this angle but ARRRGH!
Gus practicing standing and trying not to slip.
Mother Theresa/Brett
Grandpa and Gus
Laura getting launched up onto the Pirate Ship.
Josh is the human spring board. Lindsey up up and away.
Gus and his Great-Grandma Ethel at her dinner party on Saturday night. He wore a suit which he later puked on. He looked sharp for about an hour prior to that.
All the grandchildren and their families.
The whole fam eating dinner.
Too many choices in this menu for Josh.
Everyone posing and looking happy to be there!
Gus thinking and shaking his finger as if to say..."wait a sec mom...something's kinda fishy here....gotta keep my eye on you.."
4 generations of us.
All the siblings with Grandma. Happy Birthday!
